Graffiti Goons FAQ

Can i submit images for GG to use as surfaces/walls?
Yes and no. The issue with user submitted images is we can't really verify where photos come from or who actually holds copyright to them. Even if someone says they took the photo, there's no way for us to confirm that. If we used a user submitted image and it ends up belonging to someone else, that could turn into a copyright issue for the site.

Because of that we can't take direct photo submissions but what we can do instead is recreate surfaces using AI and then modify them enough that they're original images that we own the rights to while staying close to the structure of the submitted image but not exact. It doesn't always match the exact photo someone sends, but it lets us add new surfaces without risking copyright problems.

If you have a photo in mind that you think would make a good surface, you can send it to us on discord and we will check it out for sure!
How do I link my Google or Discord account?
Go to your profile and open Account management.
In Account settings, look for the options to link your Google or Discord account.
Follow the instructions to connect your accounts for easier login and crew features.
How do I upload or save my artwork?
On the drawing page, look for the Save or Upload button.
You may need to be logged in to save your work to your profile or submit to public walls.
Is there a cooldown time between saves?
Yes — to keep things fair and prevent spam, there is a cooldown timer between saves. The length of your cooldown is tied to your 30-day reputation, which is calculated from the like/dislike ratio on your public posts over the past 30 days. This is one of the ways we use community feedback to naturally encourage quality posts. Note that a poor reputation may also affect your access to certain features like live walls.

⏱️ Cooldown tiers:

Reputation Cooldown Supporter Cooldown
⭐ Perfect / Excellent / Great / Good / Solid10 min5 min
🟡 Mixed15 min7 min
🟠 Shaky20 min10 min
🔴 Rough30 min15 min
🔴 Poor40 min20 min
💀 Bad50 min25 min
💀 Terrible60 min30 min

📈 How to improve your rep: Post quality work that the community responds to positively. Your rep resets every 30 days based on only your recent posts — so improving is always possible.

💛 Supporters get their cooldown halved as a perk.

🚫 New accounts with no post history default to the standard 10-minute cooldown until they build a reputation.
How do I like, dislike, or comment on artwork?
On any artwork page, use the Like or Dislike buttons below the image.
To comment, scroll down to the comments section and enter your message.
Are there limits on likes and dislikes?
Yes — to keep things fair and prevent spam, there are a few limits:

🎨 Per artist: You can like up to 10 of the same artist's works per hour. This prevents one person from artificially inflating someone's like count.

⚡ Speed limit: You can like or dislike up to 12 images every 10 seconds. This just stops bots — normal browsing won't hit this.

👎 Dislike cap: You can only send 8 dislikes per hour. This is an extra limit on dislikes specifically to prevent trolling.

These limits reset automatically — just wait a bit and you're good to go!

What is the Primary Crew system and how does it work?
The Primary Crew system helps determine which crew benefits from your activity:
  • Setting your Primary Crew: Go to your profile settings and select which crew you want as your primary crew.
  • Leaderboard Points: Likes on your artwork in the crew leaderboard now only count toward your primary crew.
  • Secondary Crews: You can still be a member of and represent other crews, but they won't receive leaderboard points from your activity.
  • Help Your Crew: Make sure to set your favorite crew as primary to help them climb the leaderboard!
  • Visual Indicator: Your primary crew is displayed with a yellow name and crown (👑) in crew chats and showcases.
What is the Crew Wall and how does it work?
The Crew Wall is a shared wall exclusive to your crew. Here's how it works:
  • Setup: A Crew Manager must first pick a wall for the crew to use. Go to the Crew Management page and choose any solo wall — the choice is yours, and it can be changed whenever you like.
  • Finding it: Once a wall is set, crew members will see the Crew Wall on the crew page under the tabs "Gallery | Crew Wall" at the top.
  • One at a time: Only one crew member can use the Crew Wall at a time. When someone finishes, a notification is sent in the Crew Chat to let others know it's open.
  • Publishing: When the wall fills up, a Crew Manager can publish it (there is a 15-minute cooldown between publishes).
  • Saved under the crew: Published pieces are saved under CREW: [CREW NAME].
  • Copies for all contributors: Every member who contributed gets a copy of the finished piece in their own gallery.
  • Shared likes: Likes are shared across all copies — liking one copy likes them all.
  • Changing the wall: Managers can swap out the wall at any time from Crew Management.
